The award is suitable for individuals who have a major responsibility for strategy and managing the training within an organisation which organises and delivers training programmes.
Candidates are required to demonstrate competence in the following 6 units
- Develop a strategy and plan for learning and development
- Develop a strategy and plan to provide all people resources for the organisation
- Identify the learning and development needs of the organisation
- Evaluate and improve learning and development programmes
- Evaluate and develop own practice
- Manage the performance of teams and individuals
Plus 2 optional units from
- Identify individual learning aims and programmes
- Design learning programmes
- Manage the contribution of other people to the learning process
- Prepare and develop resources to support learning
- Conduct internal quality assurance of the assessment process
- Manage the use of financial resources
- Review health & safety procedures in the workplace
