These qualifications are designed for those who identify and agree learning aims and programmes for individuals and who are developing training sessions for learners. They may be involved with delivering training and development in the workplace or in training establishments.

Content

Learners will cover: developing a strategy and plan for learning and development, identifying the learning and development needs of the organisation, and to creating a climate that promotes learning

Candidates are required to prove their competence in the following

The mandatory units are:

  • Evaluate and develop own practice
  • Identify individual learning aims and programmes
  • Agree learning programmes with learners
  • Develop training sessions
  • Create a climate that promotes learning
  • Monitor and review progress with learners

The optional units are:

  • Optional unit list A (choose any two from this list)*
  • Enable learning through presentations
  • Enable learning through demonstrations and instructions
  • Enable individual learning through coaching
  • Enable group learning
    • Optional unit list B (choose any one* from this list)**
    • Assess candidates using a range of methods ***
    • Review health and safety produced in the workplace
    • Support learners by mentoring in the workplace
