The award is suitable for individuals who have a major responsibility for coordinating and managing the training within an organisation which organises and delivers training programmes.

Candidates are required to demonstrate competence in the following 6 units

• Identify the learning and development needs of the organisation
• Design learning programmes
• Agree learning programmes with learners
• Manage the contribution of other people to the learning process
• Evaluate and improve learning and development programmes
• Evaluate and develop own practice
