Suitable for

The award is designed for practising managers with responsibilities for:

• Allocating work to others
• Achieving specific results by using resources effectively
• Carry out policy in his/her area of responsibility
• Controlling limited financial budgets
• Contributing to broader activities such as change programmes and recruitment

Objectives

These qualifications assess your own competence against key management activities. They are comprised of a number of units to enable you to tailor your qualification towards your own area of expertise. Candidates are required to complete 5 core units, 1 from a choice of two units and 3 optional from a possible 20 units.

On completion of the award candidates will be familiar with NVQ principles and terminology and be able to demonstrate their competence as follows:

• Manage activities to meet requirements
• Contribute to improvements at work
• Develop your own resources
• Develop productive working relationships
• Provide information to support decision making
• Manage the use of physical resources
• Manage the use of financial resources
