Suitable for

The award is designed for practising managers who:

• Have operational responsibility for substantial programmes and resources
• Pro-actively identifies and implements change and quality improvements
• Negotiates budgets and contracts
• Leads high level meetings
• Has a broad span of control

Objectives

These qualifications assess your own competence against key management activities. They are comprised of a number of units which enable you to tailor your qualification towards your own area of expertise. Candidates are required to complete 6 core units and 4 optional from a possible 21 units.

On completion of the award candidates will be familiar with NVQ principles and terminology and be able to demonstrate their competence as follows:

• Manage activities to meet customer requirements
• Manage change in organisational activities
• Determine the effective use of resources
• Enhance your own performance
• Enhance productive working relationships
• Use information to take critical decisions
